Many people think that dance is not a sport. But to me dance is more than a sport, it’s my life. Thats why making company is my goal. Dance is like an airplane flight. If you do not react at the right time you will miss your flight. In dance if you do not react to an opportunity you might never get it again! Making company is a big deal to me, and I know I can handle it because I am a good leader. I am always ready to learn, and i’m always excited to go to competitions and conventions.

One reason that making company is my goal is because I would be a good leader. for example, I remember a time when I helped a little girl named sam find her way around the new dance studio. She was looking by studio three and she wanted to go to studio one. It did not take very long and it feels good to help somebody out! Now every time I see her she knows who I am! That time made me feel like a real leader to my dance studio. Another example of this is, when everybody in my dance class was goofing off. I was quiet and ready to learn. My teacher appreciated it, and she told my whole class that they should be acting like me. I felt like a real leader then. My teacher thought i was too. For example some other ways I would be a good leader are….... I always help out classmates, I have respect for others, and I am responsible. Thats how im a good leader!

Another reason making company is my goal is because I want to learn more! For example once in my dance practice my teacher was showing us a combination. It had my favorite moves and a great song. In company, they do a lot of those things. Like fun moves and dancing to good songs. That’s one reason I want to learn more. Some other reasons why i want to learn more are…I want to move up in levels, and work towards point, and so i can be a better student.

Another reason making company is my goal is because I want to go to more competitions and conventions! For example, I remember when I went to Chicago for a convention , and met a famous dancer. Her name was “Melanie Moore.” She is famous for winning the show “So you think you can dance.” I have also met two famous teachers for dance named “Bobby and Nick.” They all asked me “are you enjoying jump?” I said “YES” excited to each one of them!

I realized that when i'm dancing all my worries float away, and its just me and the music! making company would be a dream but I know i'm ready. Because I would be a good leader, I want to learn, and I'm always excited to go to competitions and conventions. So im not missing this flight!
