Friends Do This And That For You...
#20
Sometimes in life family won't always be there for you, so my friends come next. My friends are just like family because they are caring for you, they teach you new things and they help you when you’re in trouble. Friends and family are there for you when you need them.
One reason that my friends are just like family is because they care for me. One example that shows this is, one time I was sick on a school day and I texted my BFFL (Best Friend For Life) that I’m sick. She replied, “Oh I’m so sorry and by the way we are doing the animal project so I will ask the teacher if I could type it for you.” The teacher said “No.” to the idea but it was so sweet of her to offer. My friends are just like family because they are so caring for me. Another example that shows this is, one time I was swinging on a bar at school and someone made a chain come up and whip me in the leg, I fell to the ground screaming in pain because my shin was bleeding like crazy. My friends came rushing over to help me to the school nurse. Another example is, one time my friend and me were at my house and we were playing on my swing set and my legs got caught in these monkey bar holes and I couldn’t get out of them so I was dangling in the air crying cause it hurt badly. My friend rushed to get my mom and she helped my out of the monkey bar holes and my mom felt bad for me so she gave my friend and me popsicles! My friend was so caring for me then.
Another reason that my friends are just like family is because they teach me new things. One example that shows this is, one time I didn't know how to do Rainbow Loom Bracelet making and my friends had been doing it for awhile and I didn’t know how to do it. I felt left out and my friends saw that so they showed me how to do the Rainbow Loom! I felt so happy! Another example that shows this is, one time my friends were doing a pretend hair salon and I didn’t know how to do a braid I asked them how to to a braid and they showed me! Another reason is, for example, one time I didn’t know how to do Math 24 Cards and the teacher wanted me to know how but I didn’t know how to do it! So I asked my friend who knew how to do it and she showed me! It was hard at first but I started to get the hang of it. That’s three ways my friend’s teach me new things.
My final reason that my friends are just like family is they help me when I’m in trouble. One example is, one time I got sick on a school day and was so worried because we were starting our region projects with the groups and I was going to be behind! The next day when I got back to school I found out my BFFL (Best Friend For Life) was in my group and she caught me up so well I felt apart of the group. Another example that shows this is, one time I was having a friendship problem with someone and they wouldn't talk to me so I asked my friends for them to get my friend to talk to me so I could work it out with them and they did! Another reason is, one time I was outside for recess with my friend and the whistle blew to have us come in, although me and my friend didn't hear it and 5 min. later we realized we had gone in and I was so so worried and my friend said it’s ok and we will get in from a different recess teacher and we did, I was so happy that my friend was there when I was in trouble. I’m so happy my friends are there for me when I need them.
I realize that having friends as a second family can make a big difference in your life and they make it a whole lot more enjoyable. My friends are just like family because my family does the same important stuff your friends do too. My friends are really important in my life. Everyone should be thankful for their friends, are you?
Friendships are unbreakable…
You used great evidence to show how friends are just like a 2nd family for you!
